Customers of our On Demand and Retained Testing services now have access to our brand new schedule in Testing Manager, to easily view details of when testing is scheduled for each project.

These updates will help customers to see what they have currently got booked in with us and also allow them to send further testing requests if additional testing is required.

Of course, our current communication with each customer will be unaffected by these updates, whether that is by slack, email or regular catch up meetings. This new schedule is an additional method for customers to keep up to date and request testing, for whenever they need it.

What Is Testing Manager?

Testing Manager is our in-house app for tracking all the bugs that we raise when testing projects for our clients. These bugs are then synced to our customer's system, which could be Jira, Asana, Trello, Linear, etc.

For each project we organise a schedule of testing and allocate sessions to each tester working on the project. When it comes to carrying out the testing, the time spent by each tester is recorded in our time tracking software and available to view against the project in Testing Manager.

Many of our clients use our testing services for multiple projects, each with different timelines, or for bigger projects that are broken down into sprints, releases or feature upgrades. For some projects we're spending some time for each sprint or release and for other projects we're carrying out testing once all the development work is ready.

The New Schedule

Previously, the schedule was a simple calendar and only available to view for customers of our Retained Testing Service.

The newly released schedule is now available to all customers and provides more information for the testing scheduled in a view that shows each week in columns. So instead of only being able to see 1 week or 1 month at a time with the previous calendar view, it's now possible to view a total of 16 weeks at the same time, 8 weeks going forward and the past 8 weeks.

We are also enabling customers to book further testing by submitting a work request, for up to 8 weeks in the future. This work request is entered into our system straightaway ready to be reviewed and the testing to be planned and briefed to testers.

Further, our own testers also benefit from the schedule overhaul, as they can now see details of what testing is coming up for 8 weeks into the future.

We will continue to keep customers of our On Demand and Retained Testing services up to date with when testers are booked on their projects and make sure this aligns with when testing is needed or when projects are ready for testing to begin.

More Updates Coming Soon

We have more updates planned now that the main schedule is completed, including email reminders to let customers know when scheduled testing is booked and an email breakdown of the week's scheduled testing for each tester.
