McCormack & Morrison are a London digital agency working with Intent Media, the publishers of BikeBiz.com, a business publication covering the UK and international cycling industry.
WebDepend assisted McCormack & Morrison’s head of production, Zoe James, and lead developer, Leigh Makewell in producing a comprehensive launch plan for the new website. This launch plan needed to take into account many aspects in order to fully prepare for the site going live, including actions that needed to be carried out and checks to be performed to ensure that everything worked correctly and the transfer from old site to new site was seamless.
Due to BikeBiz.com being developed with a brand new content management system and forum software, significant planning was required in order to transfer thousands of articles to the new site going back to 1999, ensure all subscriber accounts were transferred over and that thousands of existing URLs would redirect visitors to the new format URLs.
As you can see, the launch went very well and the new BikeBiz.com website looks great.
